Such a cute and fun pattern! I've made several for my daughter and her friends that are pre-school and Kindergarten age and they are the perfect size. I did adjust the pattern slightly to make the opening at the top bigger, but other than that it's a wonderful pattern!

I made one of these backpacks for my daughter last school year and loved it so much I made on this year too! The pattern is very easy to follow. I really like that the backpack is roomy, yet still lightweight so it doesn't bother my 5 year old autistic daughter to wear it. Love this pattern!

I have been looking everywhere for a real backpack to make my kids. This is a great pattern! It looks great! I love the front pocket and the front flap. The adjustable straps are easy to add with some d rings - nothing complicated needed. Thanks so much!
