The owl bag turned out just great. I quilted all the body parts except wings, eyes, and chest, with scalloped rows and it looks like feathers. My granddaughter, who collects owls, went crazy. It was such an easy purse to make that I used the pattern to make a plain utility bag for my daughter to tote around every day. I added a large button near the center top and a hair rubber band to hold the top partially closed. Also added zippered pocket inside for security, as I do on all my bags. I love the handle, plus it is fun to make. I get tired of making straps for all the bags I make. I LOVE this pattern and the only bad thing is that now all my daughters and granddaughters want one! Thank you so much.

I love this purse. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. I did add two pockets to the inside and one to the backside. I love pockets and found the pocket in the front too small to be of much use but it is needed to make the purse look like an owl. Mary Lou
