I love purses with zippers and the front pocket zipper for this bag is hands down the easiest zipper you will ever do- you don’t even need a zipper foot for the sewing machine. The top zipper is a little more challenging so a great alternative is a magnetic snap for those newer to the world of zippers (the top zipper requires the use of a zipper foot) whatever you decide, directions are given to complete the bag either way. This modern style hip bag is fully lined and features a zippered front pocket as well as an inner pocket. The contrast accent fabric and metal rings give the bag a unique character that will help define you!
The pattern contains step by step instructions with almost 50 color illustrations and photos as well as 13 pages of detailed instructions and full size patterns ready to print. It also has the complete fabric and notion requirements and tips to create a beautiful handbag. Finished bag measures about 10"w x 12"h x 2"d.

Wonderful bag. The instructions could have a little more details, think beginners will have problems to follow. But the results speak for themselves. Love it.

Nice bag and nice size. I wish that instead of just saying it was meant to be an adjustable strap she would have included instructions for that, making it optional for those who could find the hardware.

Love the finished product!! the pattern was easy to follow, there were a couple things left out but was easy enough to figure out. For future purses i would not use a fusible fleece on the lining- it just seemed thicker than I need it to be. I would also change the pocket location. With it being kind of a narrow purse the pocket being where it is now is way too low. All in all the purse turned out GREAT and I love it. Will definately be making more of them. The directions for the zipper and putting the fusible fleece on the lining was so different than I have ever done but totally makes sence and turned out fantastic. Awesome purse!!

Loved making this bag, it has been a real hit with people asking for custom products too! Just the perfect size too, and I generally gravitate toward larger bags but this one is an awesome medium size compromise!

Very easy to make and I love using this bag! I made it with the magnetic snap on the top and would add a bit of cushion or a cover on the clamp on the closure. It needs a bit of something so it doesn't wear through the fabric. I also will probably add some interfacing to the strap to give it a bit more structure. I used it while traveling on a family reunion trip. Great to be able to carry what I needed and have my hands free! Will definitely be making more.

I just finished up this bag and I can't say enough about what a great pattern this is. I was a bit nervous about installing a welt pocket with a zipper but as she claims in her pattern it was truly one of the easiest zippers I have installed. The bag was simple enough to be completed from cutting to final product in one afternoon, yet looks like I bought it at a store. You can't beat that!
