Little Big Pants PDF Pattern - Sizes 12 months-10 years

From our I Made This Gallery:

Description

These simple yet versatile bloomer/ pantaloon style cropped pants will become a staple of your little girl's wardrobe, especially when you see how quickly they whip up! Like so many LilyGiggle patterns, this is a great pattern to use recycled fabrics! I love to breathe new life into unused items whenever possible. You can really get creative with this one...try using some crisp sheets with eyelet edging, a pretty vintage pillowcase, a beautiful curtain with a detailed edge, a man’s shirt (special instructions are included for this option). The smallest sizes can even be made out of a bed skirt or window valance. So many possibilities!

I really worked to give these a nice fit as well with a flat front and elastic back waist. One pair can last a couple of seasons as your child grows...the longer cropped style will be just as cute as they become shorter. Wide range of sizing from 12 months to 10 years means that this is one that you can pull out and use over and over again. Made with heavier fabrics this makes a wonderful fall/winter pant over a great pair of boots, too.

Wear those dresses on the monkey bars!

This is an excellent beginner pattern...only very basic sewing skills needed. This is one of my easiest patterns.

***Please note that the pants shown in orange and brown are not pieced together but created from a man's shirt that was. There are no instructions for piecing fabrics together in such a way in the tutorial but the more interesting shirt you find to upcycle the more interesting your finished Little Big Pants can be!

This is one of my favorite patterns. They are so easy and fast to make. Instructions are very clear. The end result is always cute and comfy for my daughter.

These pants are so adorable and incredibly easy to make. I even messed up on my first pair and put elastic through the whole waistband and they still look great.
