Love, Love LOVE this pattern! It's my absolute favorite of any pant pattern that I have ever messed with. I literally learned how to sew from this very pattern. Used this pattern to make fleece pants for my son. Just made the waistband 2 inches shorter than the recommended elastic amount for his size. We love the extra wide legs. I would prefer having whole pattern pieces instead of using pattern pieces to make the rest of over-all it is a very nice pattern. I liked them enough to go ahead and buy the adult version also.

I made seven pairs of these as Christmas gifts for all the little kids in the family. The directions are super simple and very clear. Plus the pattern itself is really easy to modify for perfect fit. I cut out and serged six of these in less than 4 hours (and that was assembling all the patterns too.) This pattern is so thorough! It is very easy to follow once I measured my little guy and figured out what size to make him. It was really easy to customize it since he is super tall and skinny. This is the BEST pants pattern around. Anyone can make these. I generally use this pattern to help nervous beginners feel more confident. They are able to whip up a true garment within 45 minutes on their first time at a machine. As someone more experienced, I can cut/press/sew in under 20 minutes now. this is my go-to pattern for last minute PJ pants requests.

Love these pants! Really easy to make & fit my daughter well. Only complaint is that there is no "standard" length for pants & capris. The chart for average measurements are helpful, but perhaps the "industry standard" length for pants and for capris could be bolded in the chart to show what is the norm, for those purchasers who don't have access to a model to fit the pants on.

I heard so many good things about CarlaC and her patterns. I thought that it was too good to be true. I was so wrong! These pants are the easiest patterns that i have ever used. The directions are put so that my 9 year old daughter can even sew pants not only for herself but for her siblings also. My first pair took me about 2 hours because I kept doubting that I was doing it right. Now 1 week later and about 20 pairs later I can make a pair of pants in a 30 minutes or less! This pattern is so simple and fast! Excellent instructions. And versatile too, I'm sure I will be using this pattern for years to come for the kiddos! It's what they want to wear ... easy fitting anything! Only little piece of advice: if using a busy print for contrasting cuff effect or ruffles make sure you figure out what part of the print you want to be seen, side to side and back to front. I have one pair I made with a bit of a plaid disaster! LOL

I LOVE this pattern!! I made four pairs of shorts in the first 24 hours. I timed myself on the last pair, and from uncut fabric to finished shorts was 50 minutes using only a sewing machine. Since purchasing this easy pattern I have made so many different styles, sometimes I add a ruffle, make capris, shorts add a cuff. This pattern is very simple and so easy to follow. I can make a pair of these in about a half hour. I would say that this is the most used pattern I have ever purchased.

OK it is official this is my new best friend when it comes to pants. They came together so quickly and the contrasting cuff looked great. I LOVE this pattern. I have made so many pants for my kids and now the neighborhood kids because their moms like my kids pants so much. Both for the girls with ruffles and for the boys for pj bottoms. It's very easy to make and fits perfectly if you take the correct measurements! Thanks for a great pattern! My daughter is getting her first Big Girl American Girl Doll for Christmas so I bought this pattern primarily to make the doll pants and it is SO EASY!!!! I have made so many pants from this pattern that I can't even remember how many now! I have made pajama pants for my 5 kids the past 2 Christmases plus several capri pants for my daughter and shorts for one of my boys, plus gifts for 2 nephews and a niece. I love this pattern. I made some pants for my son and he loves them. I have little sewing experience and I found all the in depth details helpful along with the pictures. I got a little confused on the pattern. I didn't realize I had to put the pattern pieces together since the smaller sizes came together, but soon learned those were examples pieces. The first pair I made were really small. After I figured that out it was a breeze!! I can't wait to make more!

Simply put, I think Carla is the best ebook creator because she explains everything. Perfect for beginner sewers and even advanced sewers will be able to whip these adorable pants out. I have bought 5 patterns so far from her and I LOVE them all! The only thing I wish is that there were instructions for how to make narrower legs if desired. My baby is very short in the legs and the extra wide fit of these makes him look like a huge bubble. I own the adult pattern as well and it is perfect! Thanks again for another great pattern :)

Yes, these can be made up in about 30 minutes once the pattern is traced & ready to go. This pattern is SUPER as is for p.j. bottoms & super casual pants or shorts. However, for true boutique wear, adjusted the rise in the pattern (thus now have 2 patterns pieces instead of 1) so there would be an obvious front & back as I don't like all the extra fabric poofing out in the front. All in all, great pattern; wonderfully thorough instructions. My 7 year old made a pair all by herself - except the ironing. They are that easy to do!

This is my favorite pants pattern..I have bought others, but yours is my favorite ! I had to alter the pattern to adjust the rise. I had too many people complain their girls felt like their pants were falling off. I made a pair for my daughter and sure enough it barely covered her diaper in pictures. I added an inch or two to the top of the pattern and bingo, alot better fit !

This pattern is essential for easy-to-sew pants that look adorable! They are very versatile, easily altered, and easily embellished. Carla even gives great embellishing ideas along with how to do it!
