Description
This ruffle dress sewing tutorial will teach you to make an asymmetrical ruffle dress ranging in size from 6 months-10 years, plus a matching doll size (for 18" dolls). This dress covers a single shoulder in a sweet style. It is a very easy sewing project and perfect for your island girl. The pattern includes multiple options. Make the dress as a straight shift. Add one layer of ruffle to the bottom or two. Tie a ribbon over the exposed shoulder, or not. The choice is yours!
Please note that this tutorial includes one digitally drafted pattern piece and a measurement chart for all cuts that are square or rectangular in shape. This sewing tutorial is perfect for beginners, and the dress is ideal for a day in the park, at the beach, or just because.

I am 11 years old and a beginner in sewing. I took a sewing class and did a project very similar to this but this project was harder than the other. I feel this was not detailed enough for me. For example, the instructions tell you to do a basting stitch but in the corresponding picture it doesn't show the stitch. Definitely for a more advanced sewer.
