Miss Lily Dress - Sizes 6mths-4t

From our I Made This Gallery:

Description

Another adorable pattern from The Handmade Dress. The "Miss Lily" Pattern is for the
big sister, sizes 6mths to 4T.

Fabric yardage: 1 1/2 main fabric & 1 yard for lining.

Notions: Approximately 2 yards ½”- 2” wide ribbon (I suggest double sided satin or grosgrain), thread & ¼” elastic. Optional: water soluble marking pen.

Suggested fabrics: cotton, pique, or taffeta. The main thing to consider when choosing fabrics is that the fabrics shouldn’t wrinkle easily, as this dress is tricky to iron.

This is the greatest pattern ever. I had the dress done in about a hour and it looks like one you would buy from the store. I will be making more.

This pattern is awesome!!! I have made it in several sizes for my 4 granddaughters and they all love these dresses. They are simple to make, yet can look very fancy depending on your fabric choice. This is definitely a favorite pattern!

Such a basic but beautiful dress. My daughters gets so many compliments when she wears it. I use the pattern a lot and just add a sash or bow for a more special occasion.

This is still my "go to" pattern (I bought it the day YCMT released it!)! I needed something fast yet elegant for a last minute Girl Scout Teddy Bear Tea Party and Samantha Caffee saved the day (yet again)!!! I whipped up 2 dresses in princess plisse' - added bows to the sleeves and a ribbon sash... outfits fit for two princesses in 2 days flat from start to finish (with a lot of detours along the way! LOL!) The bubble skirt really sets this pattern apart... and makes it SO effortlessly ELEGANT! Thank you, Ms. Caffee - my all time favorite pattern!!!

I LOVE this pattern! I thought when I first flipped through it that it would be hard but this is one of the easiest clothing patterns I have ever used. I even figured out how to make a lining in the top, easy as pie! I finished it in six hours and I think I can easily halve that next time around. My daughter looked adorable for Easter and all of my church friends wanted to know where I bought her dress!
