Another adorable pattern from The Handmade Dress. The "Miss Lily" Pattern is for the
big sister, sizes 5-10 years.
Fabric yardage: 2 1/4 main fabric & 1 1/4 for lining.
Notions: Approximately 2 yards ½”- 2” wide ribbon (I suggest double sided satin or grosgrain), thread & ¼” elastic. Optional: water soluble marking pen.
Suggested fabrics: cotton, pique, or taffeta. The main thing to consider when choosing fabrics is that the fabrics shouldn’t wrinkle easily, as this dress is tricky to iron.

Easy to follow pattern, simple design with a cute hem twist. Well written and pretty quick to sew up too.

This dress comes together like a dream (even for an impatient novice like me!)! I made this in sizes 3 and 7 in the midst of grading 20 college anatomy lab papers, unpacking, and keeping a happy home together with two wee ones! Everyone at church on Easter wanted to know which boutique I purchased the matching dresses from! ;-) Not only did I give good credit to Samantha Caffee, but the local mom-owned fabric shop got a lot of publicity, too! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Ms. Caffee - PLEASE "keep 'em comin'!" LOVE your style and multi-size offerings!
