I began making these undies for my own children, and created the pattern with both comfort and style in mind. Now, I have drafted the patterns in sizes 2-4-6-8 for both girls and boys. There is no longer any excuse for having boring undies, get out your scrap bin and start mixing and matching!
What makes these undies special? First, there is no elastic involved. The waist and legs are finished with bands of cotton/ lycra fabric which hold the undies comfortably in place. The undies are made with a child in mind, so the style is modern yet modest. Using a variety of knit scraps makes these a fun, economical sewing project. Since you only need a little bit of fabric for each pair, this is a great way to repurpose outgrown tees, too!

Great pattern. Fantastic fit on my daughter who doesn't fit anything because she's so tiny.

I have made multiple pairs for my 4 children (ages 4 to 9) and they all love to wear them both the boys and girls! Quick, easy and cheap to sew. Great pattern!

This was really fun because now my kids can really pick out their own underwear. Plus I am sure this is a smart way to potty train- hopefully because they feel like they made their big boy/girl undies

awesome pattern! these fit wonderfully. great for the skinny-minny kiddos who don't fit in the cheap wal-mart undies.

My daughter loves her undies. She couldn't find any in her room she had outgrown them so I grabbed some knits and this pattern and whipped up a couple of pairs in about an hour. The hardest part is stretching the leg and waist bands evenly. But don't let that intimadte you with a little practice you will be filling the drawers with this pattern. And in so many cute designs you won't have to spend a fortune to get cute panties. (or undies which I made my nephews)

This is a great pattern and easy to follow. Personally, I'm having a hard time working with the knits I've tried so far but that is a fabric problem not a pattern problem.

This is such a fun and easy underwear pattern with great photo instructions, especially if you have a serger.

The undies come out adorably! I have made several pair for my daughter and she loves them. It's a great use for scrap knits, too!

Great pattern! I adapted it to make training underpants for my 3 year old son and it's a great way to upcycle t-shirts. I've had lots of fun mixing and matching patterns, colors, and graphics to create undies that my son loves. Definitely worth the money for what you can make. I've had good luck with binding that's at least 5% lycra/spandex.

I LOVE this pattern! The undies are comfy and have full coverage. They are great for using up bits and bobs of knit, or for giving new life to outgrown clothes. I have made quite a few pairs from favorite outgrown pajamas and teeshirts! This is one of my top five favorite children's patterns.

What a fabulous pattern. They day I got it I whipped up a dozen, showed my daughter a pair, and bribed her with them (she has been on potty strike.) She loved them so much, that she is now potty trained (it's only been 4 days!) I made them solely from her old tees, I even found some with spandex in them for the waist and leg bands! These are WAY cuter than anything you can buy from the store, super comfy for her, and work better than store bought undies when there is an accident. GREAT pattern! It has already paid for itself. Thanks so much!

I was able to test this pattern before it was finalized for sale purposes. It's a great pattern; just make sure you do use cotton/lycra blend fabric (10% lycra). They go together quick & easy. I like to make twirly knit skirts, so I've started making these with the leftovers - now even though she's showing her undies a bit when she twirls around & around, they are the SAME fabric print!

The undies went together very easy. The pattern is wonderfully written. Very clear instructions and easy to follow with lots of photos to help along the way. I love the design and so do my daughters.

I really loved this pattern! The undies turn out great and my child had no complaints. I will be making lots more! The directions and pictures are really great and easy to follow!
Kira Branscum - August 1st, 2011
I have now made several of these. My daughter loves how comfy they are. She is always pulling at her store bought undies and taking them off because they are uncomfy. She leaves these on without any complaints! They were super easy to make, and the auther responded to my emails quickly when I had trouble with figuring out the proper sizing. Thanks!!!
