This beautiful hat can be made with any bulky weight yarn, I recommend Debra Norville’s Serenity Chunky, the color used in the picture is Chocolate.
You can also hold two strands of medium 4-ply or sport weight yarn. Mixing two colors together can be very pretty and dramatic. Be sure to check your gauge if using the two strand method.
The stiches used are half double crochet, single crochet, and double crochet, which are put together in a combination that will make a textured, warm, and sturdy Cloche.
Instructions will come on how to securely attach the flower, lace and feathers in an heirloom fashion, so some handsewing is required.
Flower and Ostrich Feathers with Goose Biots, and the Peacocks Eye can be purchased at
a local Craft store, in the Floral Section.
You will recieve instruction on how to make this hat in a variety of sizes, below is a list.

Pattern Update: A customer has reminded me that you can add extra stitches in the cross stitch rows, without realizing it. So this pattern has been updated to help you understand the cross stitch rows

Not happy with the hat patterns at all. Parts are missing and the numbers given are not true.
For example the childs version is ok until you reach the cross stitch. It tells you to make cross stitch (Skip 1 sc make 1 dc in next sc) then repeat to make the cross stitch. Left out is the( dc in sc just skipped).
It also tells you that you will end up with 15 cross stitches, Not sure how because I ended up with 17?
Not happy with either one of these hat patterns
