“Great baby gift! Easy to make with clear instructions”

Now you can make the zippered bag version of my popular compact travel change pad bag. This is fun to make and give at baby showers. Everyone wants one and the new mom will feel so chic every time she uses it.

This is what you can make with this new sewing pattern/ tutorial:
The bag part is 11"x7"x2.5"
It is fully lined and has a zipper closure.
Two strap options are a wristlet style short strap or a long adjustable strap that goes from fanny pack or stroller pack to cross body wear.
The changing pad part is about 28"x18".
It folds to the same size as the bag and sits snugly behind it when folded.
The pad and bag attach to one another to solve the problem of where to set the wipes when you are out and about with baby and need to change them.

The zipper opens up to give you access to the wipes even when the pad is folded for all of those other times you need them.

This item cleverly turns any tote or backpack into an instant diaper bag in disguise.

This pattern includes cottage licensing, so you can make them for sale. I have also included printable packaging for those of you who want to make them and sell them.

This is a great item for boutiques. There are so many wonderful fabrics out there to make eye catching bags that will get snatched up by savvy moms.

1/2 yard white marine vinyl
19-20inches of anti-pill fleece (use 1/2 yard, but you need a little extra)
19" x42" (after shrinking) of cotton fabric
19"x25" of wrinkle resistant fabric for lining (I usually find a bottom weight cotton/poly fabric in the apparel fabrics to use for this.)
12" of 1.5" wide elastic
#5 Nylon coil zipper (jacket zipper) you will shorten to 10.5" long
3 yards of 1/2" wide double fold bias seam binding, can be cut from the extra width on your cotton fabric, as shown on the cutting layout.
For the longer adjustable strap, buy a yard and a half of ready made
1" wide strap (or make your own with instructions given) and
1" Bar Slide and
1" Rectangular ring or 3/4" "O" ring

I just finished making this for my daughter. The directions are filled with pictures and are explained perfectly. It was very easy to complete and she loves the size of the pad.

I had a smaller diaper bag when my girls were young and it was just boring black. With this patter, you can make AMAZINGLY useful and cute diaper bags.
