If you ever wanted to learn to make hot pads or trivets, you could use this pattern. Just make it larger than than the directions call easy to do.
Three yards of 1/4” cotton cording
Five fat quarters in a variety of colors and prints OR 1/3 to 1/2 yard EACH of five different fabric prints and colors for coil blossom
Needle and thread
One 5” x 5” piece of felted wool or similar sturdy fabric for backing
One or two sew-on pin backs
Optional: Quilter’s ruler and rotary cutter
