Description
The Molly peasant is a classic, feminine style that is universally loved for its sweet simplicity. From comfort seeking babies to fashion conscious pre-teens, all will swoon over this deliriously happy frock. It is perfect for the pool or school, but can be dressed up for formal occasions. Peasants are a wardrobe stable for Jennifer’s niece Sophie, who even wears them camping at the lake. The bodice features a delicate neckline and empire styling. With options for long sleeves, short sleeves, bell sleeves, and any length you desire, the design possibilities are endless.
-Notions - thread, straight pins, 1/4" elastic, 1/2" single fold bias tape (for bell sleeved option)
-Fabric - 1-3 yards, depending on size, style, and options.

Great pattern and very easy although I would measure for the elastics if you have a slender child. I had to re-cut the elastics for my skinny minnie. Very great instructions though!!

My youngest daughter just love this dress. I have used this pattern to make her a few dresses, some tops and even converted the pattern a bit to omit the center elastic to make her a few nightgowns....Very versitile. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!

I have made 3 of this dress so far and I love it. It is a little more time consuming and may not be for a beginner, but the instructions are really clear and the pattern pieces are very helpful. My only problem is getting my ironing straight and will have to work on that. Otherwise, I love this pattern!

Love this pattern! So easy to follow, definitely could be done by a beginner. I love the wide range of sizes and the measurement charts. Makes it easy to size if your making a dress for someone who you don't have access to measure them. The dress turns out beautiful and professional looking, and I'm no professional!

Lots of instructions in this pattern and lots of pictures, but this pattern has an odd shaped bodice piece that was difficult to work with. The only dress I made with this pattern was not well received.

I kept trying to find free instructions for making a peasant dress, but after many tries sewing one, I finally gave up and bought this pattern. It's sooo easy and my daughters are extremely pleased with the results - in fact, they keep asking for more! I've made 2 of these. I am a false beginner sewer, as I now have a few notions, but still need to have very clear instructions to follow. I added a bit of accent to my dresses(the flowered on has a row of yellow ribbon sewn around the bodice, and on the yellow, I added a bit of the flowered dresses fabric at the elastic line, so they remind each of the other. My son has the "boys romper" in the same yellow as my second dress. I am so happy with all the patterns. Descriptions are clear and I love having the pictures to guide me. Anyone can do this. ONly off remark: I've had to really practice my zigzag stitching, as this patern does not do hems much, which does, I imagine save fabric, but if you are not clear on how to use the zigzig function on your machine, you should practice a lot before trying to put this dress together.

This is pretty much my favorite pattern of all time. I've made my daughter multiple dresses, including her Halloween costume last year, which was Sally from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. Love this dress. My daughter looks like a princess in it. I may leave out the center elastic next time as she said it itched. I may just buy softer fabric. Easy. easy easy.
