The Christmas tree stocking is made from felt (acrylic or wool) and/or fleece. It is so easy to make - even for beginners! The shapes are cut from felt or fleece using the pattern pieces. Then they are pinned to the stocking and sewn around the edges with a simple running stitch. The stocking is made entirely with hand stitches. The red and green stocking is made from wool felt. The pink and black stocking is made from a combination of fleece (for the stocking shape), wool felt (tree shape) and acrylic felt (cuff and letters). The finished stocking measures 8” x 16”. The patterns can be reduced or enlarged to make the stocking larger or smaller.
You can decorate the tree following the instructions given or be creative and embellish the tree with other embellishments that might include ribbon, fabric trim, pompoms, etc.
