I love this ruffled top. I made 2 of them for my granddaughters out of coordinating dance fabrics. I have been sewing for years, but had just a little problem with the pattern pieces. They didn't fit together properly, but after I made the initial adjustments, it went together great and they were adorable. The girls love them.

Mixed review. The directions are easy, and the shirt is adorable. The sizing is WAY off. Yes, I measured the finished pattern per instructions to make sure it printed correctly. The 12-24 months garment measures less than 20 inches at the chest, but states that it fits up to chest size ". Slight problem there. I'll have to seriously tweak the pattern to make width and length work.

This pattern makes a very cute top. Pretty simple instructions, but I did get my ruffles out of order and had to undo it. Very good pattern.

Cute shirt, not too hard to make. The pattern, however, is VERY hard to read with the light green type on white background and scroll type.

Not my favorite, comes out cute with some major tweaks, but the directions were a bit confusing almost too much to be helpful, I had to read each part multiple times to get what was being said. I have been sewing for more then 20 years and never had this problem.
2nd problem, measured my daughter she measured out for a size 3, so I made a size 4 for a bit a of growing room. When it was done it was tight I had to pass it down to a 2 year old. I was disappointed to say the least. Made it again this time in a 6, and it's a bit long but fits correctly in the width. Won't make it again, my daughter is 5 now and she just says it is too much fabric to be comfy and it just doesn't look right on her.

This top is so precious! Love it! I made matching rufflebutt bloomers to go with it. I think i may even add to it to make a dress the next time. I will be making more of these for my soon to be daughter as well as for friends kids/grandkids. Again - love it and so does everyone that I've shown it to.....Thanks for a great pattern!

The top looks cute on my daughter. I've received many complements from it. I do plan on making more Some cons to the pattern are: it's to wordy for me. It was time consuming to find the real instructions so I printed it off and highlighted the key items like "now topstitch", "sew ruffle to top panel", and so forth. Doing this made it sew up much faster. I made my daughter her current size which by the measurements given should have been big on her, but it's not. It's snug when slipping it on. So I caution anyone who considers making a smaller size because your child fits into the measurement bracket. The top can bell out making it a little to revealing. The next one I make I'll trim the sides in more making the ties not start so close to the armpits.
