This is my original design/pattern, designed by me with a trusty pencil, big eraser and paper. I first designed this in 2013 and have made countless edits and revisions to it in order to create it to what you now see.

This is a greatly detailed step by step pattern!
I am new to pattern working, and have found cutting the pattern pieces and the instructions for assemble very easy to follow.
I am still working away at the body, but have sewn together a beautiful "head". I would suggest sewing the head pieces BEFORE applying hot glue to the eyelid machine really disliked sewing this part ... I'm using a drapery fabric, slightly less stiff than canvas, it's hard to work with, the canvas must be very difficult; do not attempt without strong fabric clips.
I'm excited to see how this project finishes! Thanks for the pattern!
½ yard medium weight duck canvas (minky, cotton, etc can also be used and will make the creation of the Canvas Colt a bit easier)
¼ yard accent color duck canvas (or whatever fabric you are using)
Two 18mm round safety bolt plastic eyes (or applique fabric eyes) (15mm size will also suffice)
¼ skein yarn (I use Caron Simply Soft)
~10 oz fiber filling (I use poly-fil)
8 x 8 inch strip of Heat N Bond iron on adhesive (more if adding socks or other markings)
