“Excellent pattern, so cute. I made two for my granddaughter this summer and she wears them all the time!”

Ava Sundress Pattern in child sizes 1 through 4 is a simple sundress with a square neck and straps that meet at the open back. The back has elastic that can be adjusted for a better fit. You are going to love how easy this pattern is to make. It's a perfect little dress for everyday play, the beach, birthday parties and special occasions. Adding the optional bow at the back gives a "boutique" look. Make it unique by mixing and matching fabrics, adding an applique or embroidery design to the front, trim along the border or just plain. Great for warm summer days or with a top underneath for cooler seasons.

There are lots of pictures to go along with the instructions and each pattern size is separate so you can print only the size you need.

Material Needed:

All sizes: 3/4 yd main fabric
All sizes: 1/2 yd for lining & sash

Finished measurement from top of shoulder to bottom of hem.

Size 1 18 ¼” (45.36cm)
Size 2 19 ¼” (49.54cm)
Size 3 20 ¼” (51.44cm)

I love this pattern, quick and easy to sew. I made it as the ebook suggests but since reading the comments, I will be following some of the suggestions. I can see many little summer dresses made with this pattern. I left off the bow this time but next dress with have one to make it even more special. Thank you Nanoo designs.

LOVE this pattern! Super cute and super fast to make! Completely agree with S.Campbell's review too. Those are the same adjustments I made. :)

The dress is cute as can be. There are some changes I would make in the pattern to make it a bit user friendlier. 1)Attach the back shoulder straps to the back waist before adding the elastic. It will make the stitching over previous stitching easier and neater and measuring more accurate. 2)When cutting make a flair at the top of the Top Front about 1" from top edge. This will make the fabric completely cover the elastic and will catch it in the side seam. 3)when sewing the front lining/straps to front dress/straps leave the ends of the straps open. It makes turning easier and reduces bulk at the back waist where the straps are attached. Over cast the end of the straps after turning. 4) Slightly curve hemline when cutting so the side seams are not longer than the front.

I have really enjoyed this pattern! I have made several of these little dresses(need to post some pictures) and paired them with matching Betsy Joey shorts; got so many compliments! This is one of my favorite patterns, however, I do wish the pattern went up a few more sizes. Other than that, I Love it!
