These slipper shoes are soft and sweet! They keep their shape very well. Fabric is fused to wool felt (which is available almost anywhere they sell fabric). Felt does not have to be 100% wool. It can be a blend. Edges of shoes may fray slightly but it adds to the charm of the design.
The shoes are very easy to make - even for beginners! You can make a pair of shoes in less than an hour (although the first pair will probably take a little longer). We’re sure you’ll want to make more than one pair. You can use ultra suede, denim, chenille, linen, cotton, wool, etc. for the outside of the shoes. You can use 7/8” to 1” wide ribbon for ties, including grosgrain, satin, sheer, etc, or you can use 1” wide elastic.
This ten page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns, a materials list, instructions written in English, and step-by-step color photographs. Two sizes of shoes are included in pattern - lengths of finished soles are 9 1/2” and 10” (9 1/2” shoes are approximately the same as a woman’s size 6 – 6 1/2 shoe).
Instructions are given to enlarge or reduce the patterns to make smaller or larger shoes. You can use fabric or a non-skid material for the bottom of the soles.
