Uppercase Alphabet Applique Designs by Precious Patterns
Description
The uppercase alphabet appliqués are fun and easy to make. They include the 26 letters of the alphabet plus a small star and heart that can be used to embellish your designs, like the t-shirts. Sizes of letters vary but the average size is 2 1/4” wide by 3 3/4” tall. The size of the uppercase letters coordinates well with our lowercase alphabet letters which are sold in a separate pattern. You can enlarge or reduce the letters to make them any size you’d like. Use the letters to appliqué words on t-shirts, tote bags, pillowcases, etc. Cotton print fabrics were used for appliqués on sample t-shirts. The alphabet is fun for girls and boys!
Instructions are given to sew a machine straight stitch around the appliqué letters. Other options would be to sew a machine zig zag or satin stitch around the edges. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can embroider the blanket stitch or sew a running stitch by hand around the edges of the appliqué pieces.

Materials
-Light to medium weight fabrics for appliqués
-Double sided iron-on fusible web – (Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 Fusible Web by The Warm Company was used for sample appliqués but any fusible web for fabric will work fine)
-Sewing thread (or embroidery floss) – color that coordinates with fabrics – a color that is a little darker than the fabric, looks nice
