Precious Fabric Flowers
Description
These fabric flowers are beautiful and so easy to make! Flowers are created using a simple running stitch by hand. Sample flowers are made from specialty and bridal fabrics that include sheer, silky lining and satin backed crepe. Other lightweight fabrics can be used. Some flowers are made from two different fabrics which give them a very elegant look. Instructions are included for using ribbon in place of fabric for an even simpler flower. Flowers can be sewn to headbands, clothing, clutches, etc.
This PDF e-pattern includes measurements for fabric rectangles, materials list, clear instructions written in English and step-by-step photographs.
MATERIALS LIST:
-1/8 yard of fabric will make one flower or use two 1/8 yard pieces of coordinating fabrics to make a larger fllower with two tones
-Scrap of coordinating acrylic or wool felt to sew to bottom of flower to cover raw edges
-Sewing thread (regular sewing thread will work but you may want to use a stronger thread like quilting thread or #12 perle cotton to make sure thread does not break when you pull it to create gathers)
-Basic sewing supplies
