This half apron and oven mitt are so pretty and easy to make! Instructions are included to make the apron in two misses’ sizes – 8-14 and 16-22. The apron is made from fabric rectangles with a ribbon waistband and ties. Light and medium weight cotton fabrics were used for the sample apron and oven mitt.
MATERIALS NEEDED TO MAKE APRON:
-44/45” Cotton solid or print fabrics – 1/2 yard for top rectangle, 1/4 yard for bottom rectangle, 1/2 yard for ruffled skirt on apron, 5/8 yard for apron lining (white muslin was used for lining on sample apron)
-1” Ribbon – 2 1/2 yards (grosgrain was used for sample apron)
-Sewing thread – coordinating color
MATERIALS NEEDED TO MAKE OVEN MITT:
-44/45” Cotton solid or print fabrics – 1/4 yard for top shapes, 1/4 yard for bottom rectangles & lining
-Cotton batting - 24” x 30” rectangle (batting must be cotton – heat will go through polyester batting)
-Sewing thread – coordinating color
-1” masking tape
