Felt Pouches - Owl, Bat, Cat, Bee & Ladybug

Description

These adorable pouches are simple to make! They are made from 9” x 12” felt rectangles (felt can be purchased anywhere basic craft supplies are sold). The sample pouches are created by hand, using the blanket stitch around the edges of the felt pieces and French knots for the eyes (a hand sewn running stitch close to the edges of the felt pieces can be used in place of the blanket stitch). Buttons are sewn to the ends of ribbon pieces to make the handles. Patterns will make 5 1/4” x 6” pouches. Enlarge or reduce patterns to make pouches different sizes – enlarge pattern 150% to make a tote bag or trick-or-treat sack. To make critter softies instead of pouches, simply fill with batting and embroider across the top.

This seven page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns to make an owl, bat, cat, bee and ladybug pouch, a materials list, detailed instructions written in English, and clear step-by-step photos.
