Doll Hats
Description
The doll hats are so sweet and easy to make! They will fit 18” dolls, including American Girl Dolls. Instructions are included to make the hat in seven different styles – helmet, baseball cap, bonnet, princess, flapper, sailor and floppy. If you don’t add ribbon or lace embellishments to the outside of the hats, they are reversible! You can make hats to match every outfit!

Materials
MATERIALS NEEDED
Fabric rectangles are a guideline –They don’t need to be precise amounts.
TO MAKE HELMET
Fabric – 9” x 20” rectangle for outside, 9” x 20” rectangle for lining
1/4” Ribbon – 1/2 yard each of three different colors
3/4” Pompom
TO MAKE BASEBALL CAP
Fabric – 6” x 26” rectangle for outside, 6” x 26” rectangle for lining
TO MAKE BONNET
Fabric – 6” x 20” rectangle for outside, 6” x 20” rectangle for lining
1 1/4” Gathered lace with one straight edge – 1/2 yard
3/8” Ribbon – 3/4 yard
TO MAKE PRINCESS HAT
Fabric – 6” x 20” rectangle for outside, 6” x 20” rectangle for lining
1 1/2” Gathered lace/ribbon trim with finished edges – 1/2 yard
1/2” Ribbon – 3/8 yard
1 1/4” Purchased ribbon flower embellishment
TO MAKE FLAPPER HAT
Fabric – 6” x 20” rectangle for outside, 6” x 20” rectangle for lining
5/8” Ribbon – 1/2 yard
7/8” Button
TO MAKE SAILOR HAT
Fabric – 6” x 20” rectangle for outside, 6” x 20” rectangle for lining
TO MAKE FLOPPY HAT
Fabric – 10” x 20” rectangle for outside, 6” x 20” rectangle for lining
