Baby Animal Bibs
Description
These bibs are very easy to make! Instructions are included to make one style of bib that can be embellished with six different baby animal appliqués. Each bib measures 7” wide by 7 1/2” long. The bibs are made from cotton fabric with a layer of fleece sandwiched between the front and back to soak up spills (fusible fleece, cotton batting or flannel can be used between layers in place of fleece). The appliqués on the sample bibs are made from cotton and fleece fabrics which make them very soft! Appliqués can be made from all cotton fabrics if preferred. Onesies, t-shirts, burp cloths, etc. can be embellished with the appliqués.

Materials
Materials Needed to Make One Bib
Fabric rectangles are a guideline -They don’t need to be precise amounts. Prints were used for all cotton fabrics.
BIB FRONT & BACK FABRIC - 9” x 18” cotton rectangle
FROG FABRIC - 4” x 7” fleece rect. for head/eyes, 2” x 4” cotton rect. for shape under mouth
PANDA FABRIC - 4” x 5” fleece rect. for head, 3” x 4” fleece rect. for eye ovals/ears, 2”cotton square for nose
DOG FABRIC - 4” x 5” fleece rect. for head, 3” x 4” cotton rect. for eye oval/ears, 2” cotton square for nose
MONKEY/SHEEP FABRIC - 4” x 5” fleece rectangle for head, 3” x 6” cotton rectangle for face/ears
TEDDY FABRIC - 4” x 7” fleece rect. for head/ears, 2” cotton square for eye ovals, 2” cotton square for nose
ABSORBENT BIB LAYER - 9” white fleece square
DOUBLE SIDED IRON-ON FUSIBLE WEB - 8” square or less for each animal (Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 Fusible Web by The Warm Company was used for sample animals but any fusible web for fabric will work fine)
NARROW DOUBLE FOLD BIAS TAPE -1 yard for neck edge & ties
SEWING THREAD - black & color that coordinates with fabric/bias tape
EMBROIDERY FLOSS - black
