Sugar Pie Chic

I am a native Texas and live in the sunny city of Austin, TX. As a young girl I was always around talented women who loved sewing. My mother is an accomplished seamstress as were both of my grandmothers. I began sewing and designing when I realized my dolls needed something new to wear. With fabric scraps from my mother’s stash and a pair of blunt-tip scissors, a lifelong passion began. I have been sewing and crafting my entire life. Three years ago I began Sugar Pie Chic in order to create one-of-a-kind aprons. For a number of years I was a teacher and I think this natural ability is expressed in my patterns. One of my pattern goals is to teach the next generation a love of sewing.
