I just bought the book an hour ago over frustration with making pants- the tips alone on no bulge waist and sewing perfect pants make the price for this more than worth it!! I have not even looked at the other tips yet! Great book- breaks everything down very simple. Worth the money.

Overall an ok, but not a spectacular purchase. The part on the seamstress pants & which machine feet to use was helpful. My main complaint is the section on how to cut your own bias tape from fabric is horrible. The instructions are vague and drawn (no photographs in this section) and it is very confusing. Also, the author doesn't include any email to send a question. I finally gave up and found an online free tutorial which was very helpful. The author could definitely use more explanation & photographs on the cutting your own bias tape section.

Love, love, love this book! My only complaint is that I put off purchasing it! The tip on making ruffles more than compensated for the purchase price. This is a great read for beginner sewers or those with a little more knowledge - I learned something new...and the author is correct ~ these "secrets" will save you time!
