If you’ve been in search of the perfect vintage dress for little girls, you may have just found it! Alice is slightly old-fashioned yet super sophisticated. The collar with optional bias trim detail gives a sweetness to the dress. The fully lined pleated skirt makes the dress flare nicely making for a beautiful silhouette. The fully lined cap sleeve is not only a breeze to sew, but hugs the shoulder perfectly. This dress is very fitted with an invisible zipper in the back which makes for nice, clean lines as well as easy on and off.
I found it hard to understand the instructons but being a lon time seamstress I figured it out. I'm not so surea newbie could however.
I am experienced sewer and this pattern caused me problems. There were many lovely elements to the pattern including a lining, but this also caused a problem. If you look at the picture, it appears that it is a full skirt with all the pleats; however, the lining did not have pleats so it made the actual skirt much narrower and I had to remove the lining for my Granddaughter. Directions also were not that clear especially if you are new to sewing.
