I love it. The pattern was easy to follow with lots of pictures. I am experienced at making bags and had no problem adding interior pockets. The exterior pockets with the elastic at the top are perfect for me for a bottle of water on one side and my cell phone on the other. I would recommend this pattern. Different fabrics can make this bag whimsical or serious. Enjoy!

Perfect size for a purse. The side pockets are awesome. I made it as a gift for my MIL and she LOVED it! Not difficult at all to put together.

Really Cute bag pattern. My bag turned out great! The side pockets are functional and pretty! The pattern was easy (for the most part) but I had a difficult time understanding how exactly to attach the exterior bottom to the bag. My husband had to read it and explain it to me. Even though the bag was easy to make, it was a bit time consuming.
The size is ideal and the lining has plenty of room to add lots of pockets. I really appreciated the optional zipper pocket section. It was my first zippered pocket and the instructions were so helpful. I've even used them to add a zippered pocket on another bag I was making for my daughter. Overall, it's an excellent pattern and I highly recommend it for an advanced beginner and up.

GREAT bag instructions and pattern. I made four of these in a weekend for my girls gym bags. Outside pockets are perfect for water bottles and other things. Inside was roomy enough for all a teenage girl needs for gym(and after). Well written clear instructions. LOVED IT

½ yard exterior focus fabric
5/8 yard coordinating fabric for exterior pockets
1 ¼ yard coordinating fabric for lining, straps and bottom
1 ¼ yards fusible fleece interfacing (I like Pellon brand 987F)
1 package 5/8” wide elastic
1 button measuring between 1 ¼” to 2” (a button with a shank will work best for this project)
disappearing ink pen
1 safety pin (to pull the elastic through the casing)
12” zipper (optional – if making the zipper pocket)
