The Aivilo Satchel features pretty ruffled pockets at the outside corners, complete with an easy to sew elastic casing to keep contents secure. Customize the interior with a simple patch pocket or a hidden zipper pocket - or both!

½ yard exterior focus fabric
5/8 yard coordinating fabric for exterior pockets
1 ¼ yard coordinating fabric for lining, straps and bottom
1 ¼ yards fusible fleece interfacing (I like Pellon brand 987F)
1 package 5/8” wide elastic
1 button measuring between 1 ¼” to 2” (a button with a shank will work best for this project)
disappearing ink pen
1 safety pin (to pull the elastic through the casing)
12” zipper (optional – if making the zipper pocket)
Loved making this bag The end result was great
GREAT bag instructions and pattern. I made four of these in a weekend for my girls gym bags. Outside pockets are perfect for water bottles and other things. Inside was roomy enough for all a teenage girl needs for gym(and after). Well written clear instructions. LOVED IT
