“I made two of these for granddaughters. They were thrilled with their totes with special places for their crayons. The pattern was very easy to follow with pictures and detailed instructions. I will be making more as the grandbabies grow up!”

This pretty tote is perfect for girlie girls who love to color wherever they go. The feminine ruffles hide 9 crayon slots on each side, and little ones everywhere love the secret of having the crayons hidden away but so easily accessible.

✄ ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

These very easy instructions are great for those with at least basic sewing skills. There are 9 hidden crayon slots in the ruffles! Instructions are also given for a patch-style pocket inside.

Bag measures 9” wide x 7” tall x 2 ½” deep and stands on it's own.

¾ yard focus fabric (lightweight quilting cottons / calico, without an obvious up or down pattern will work best) for exterior, bottom ruffle, straps and optional interior pocket
½ yard coordinating fabric for lining and top ruffle
½ yard fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon 987F is recommended but any fusible fleece at least 40” wide should work fine.)
erasable marker or pencil
