“love this pattern! My 10 year old made her own skirt !”
The Aivilo Reversible Skirt is customizable for girls and ladies - you can even choose the length and style (from A-line to Twirly). It features fun, feminine stripes - but it can also be made with just one patterned or solid colored fabric for a simpler look. It is easy to sew but due to the customizability, there are a few calculations to make, so it's probably best for at least advanced beginners who won't be intimidated by that.

• non-stretchy cotton fabrics (amount depends on the wearer’s size)
• ric-rac (at least 1” wide) or lace (at least 1 ½” wide) (actual yardage depends on wearer’s size) Both sides of the trim will be visible when the skirt is worn, so it shouldn’t have a “wrong” side.
• ¾” wide elastic (actual yardage depends on wearer’s size, but 1 yard should be enough for most)
• rotary cutter & mat or ruler & scissors
Sizes that can be made: instructions are included to make this skirt for babies on up to plus sized ladies.
Final Measurements: varies
*Note: These are downloadable instructions for making a skirt. It does not contain any patterns. Size to cut the skirt will be determined by a math formula found in the book. This pattern is ok...
I made this skirt for myself and it came out GREAT! It is so easy, comes together very fast (made mine in about an hour, not counting patterning/cutting time) and is very comfortable to wear. I love how the pattern is completely customizable to any size, child or adult, and how you don't have to finish any seams with overcasting because all the seams are enclosed between the reversable layers! This speeds construction quite a bit! I made mine using strips of all the same fabric in both layers, but plan to make one for my daughter using coordinating prints. Great pattern!
