Loved the look of this dress so much, had to find something in my Stash to create it. It is an adorable dress and looks awesome on my 2 yr. old granddaughter, I paired it up with a panty to cover her diaper. I will for sure be making this one again. Love, love love it.
This gorgeous dress has plenty of vintage charm! The beautiful ruffled bodice was a popular style in the 40’s and 50’s…...it is updated here with a tuxedo style bib. The outer skirt can be made with two bow trimmed chevron edge pockets, or a ruched ruffle around the bottom. The underskirt has a ruffled border and adds plenty of fullness to this adorable dress. The waistband with two generous ties completes the look. You can also make a simplified version of this dress by omitting one of the skirts. Make a short dress that can be worn with bloomers, leggings or ruffle pants underneath, or make a single skirted dress by omitting the overskirt. Appropriate for an intermediate sewist, although a confident beginner could also make this dress, since the level of instruction is so detailed. Includes sizes 6-12 months up to size 8. Happy sewing!
