Materials needed: knit fabric and elastic

1. Knit fabric:

I usually purchase my fabric by the yard and a yard is more than enough to make a pair or two of these cute pants. You will need a piece of knit fabric that is 10 inches longer than your desired inseam. That means if you want to make shorts you might only need about 12 inches total or 1/3 yard. This would make a pair of shorts with a 2 inch inseam. If you want to make pants with a 12 inch inseam you will need 22 inches of your knit. You need about 30 inches in width as well. Most knits come in 60 inches wide so you can get 2 pairs out of one cut.

Sizes that can be made: 12 months, 2T, 3/4, and 5/6
