Emily Dress Pattern with Pleated Inserts is a simple but classic dress that is fully lined and buttons down the back. It’s the kind of dress that can be used for dress up or play. You’ll want to make several and experiment with mixing and matching different prints, solids and colors for the pleated inserts to create that unique one of a kind look.

Includes 16 pages of instructions and 74 pictures to illustrate every step as well as patterns for sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Materials Required:

Yardage for 45” wide fabric without nap
½” Buttons – 5 or 6 (depending on how far apart they are placed and dress size)
Size 1 5/8 yard main fabric 1/2 yard lining *½ yard pleated inserts
Size 2 5/8 yard main fabric 5/8 yard lining * 5/8 yard pleated inserts
Size 3 3/4 yard main fabric ¾ yard lining *¾ yard pleated inserts
Size 4 3/4 yard main fabric ¾ yard lining *¾ yard pleated inserts
*If the fabric for the pleated inserts does NOT have a directional pattern or nap, you can place the strips horizontally instead of vertically and would only need ¼ yard for all sizes.
