Recycled T-Shirt Hoodie - Sizes 6mths-7yrs
Introducing....the Recycled T-Shirt Hoodie ePattern! Unisex sizes 6M to 7 Years. My pattern shows how to reuse existing seams and hems from t-shirts to minimize your sewing time!
**This hoodie pattern can be combined with the Lil Blue Boo Sienna Dress Pattern in order to add a hood.
This is a 23-page PDF tutorial with 9 pattern pages and includes ALL of my tips and tricks for sewing knit fabrics on a regular sewing machine. You can use a serger as well. The hoodie takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish and there are many options for customizing!
Start saving your t-shirts, knit clothing and scrap fabric now! I love these hoodies so much that I decided to make it into a comprehensive tutorial that even the most inexperienced sewer can follow!
My original PDF pattern & tutorial includes:
:: 23 pages of easy to follow step-by-step complete sewing instructions
:: 64 full color images, diagrams and drawings to demonstrate pattern specifics
:: 9 pattern pages which include separate patterns for sizes 6-12M, 18M, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5, 6 & 7
:: Options for customizing your hoodie by adding a pocket and adding your own graphics
:: Options for adjusting the pattern pieces, adding a bottom band and wrist cuffs, and altering the hood to be fitted
Recycling t-shirts is not only an economical way to make clothing for children, but also an easy way to make one-of-a-kind, comfortable, soft clothing that you could never find in a store!
Materials:
:: 2 or 3 t-shirts or other knit clothing/fabric (preferably the same weight)
:: Coordinating thread (100% polyester thread is the best for sewing knits)
:: Spray starch
:: Disappearing ink pen
Optional materials:
:: Either a jersey ball point or a stretch needle (I use an orange size 11 needle for my Singer machine)
:: For freezer paper stenciling: Freezer paper (I use Reynolds brand), fabric paint
23 pages, 64 full color images, diagrams and drawings, plus 9 pattern pages
