Nursery Favorites - Crocheted Edges

Adding a personal crocheted edge to a handmade baby blanket or burp cloth is a great way to make them extra cute and special. The double layers of cotton flannel in these instructions will provide baby blankets that are softer and cozier than most, as well as burp cloths that are extra absorbent. A matching blanket and burp cloth set is an ideal gift for any newborn (particularly if it’s your own!).

To make things ever easier for you, this pattern includes pattern pieces for burp cloths and blanket corners, as well as a method of preparing the flannel for the edging that doesn’t require a fancy machines - any home sewing machine can do it!

Finished measurements: burp cloths are 9” x 16”, blankets are 45” x 45”

Supplies: size 10 crochet cotton thread, cotton flannel, crochet hook, misc. sewing supplies.
