I made Serenity's pirate costume using Dainty Designs' "How to Make a Corset Top With a Shirred Back" and the "Layered Tulle Twirl Skirt". She wore it for Boo at the Zoo (Audubon Zoo in New Orleans) and trick 'n treating on Halloween night. I got so MANY compliments! I used three different skull fabrics and two accent fabrics - the costume came out so nice! This is a front view of Serenity in her costume.

Skirt was made from the Vertical Strip Twirl Skirt pattern from Cutiepatootsiez. I added the ruffle to the bottom of the skirt. Top was a purchased shirt that I embellished with embroidery and a hanky in the pocket.
