My daughters and I spent two days tie-dying, using Jen's book, "Dyeing Hearts and Rainbows the Diva Way." This is the heart shirt that my 5-year-old and I made. I dyed the heart, and she dyed the rest of the shirt yellow. She loves her shirt!

My two daughters (5 and 10) and I spent two afternoons tie-dying shirts for the first time. We used the tutorial by Jen of Tie Dye Diva. We started with the spirals, and have some more (including an attempt at the heart) waiting to be rinsed tomorrow! My 10-year-old was so happy with the shirt she made that she wanted to show it by jumping for joy. :)
