Simply put - I love ribbon. I use ribbon to embellish all kinds of things, except for one thing: bows for gift-wrapping. True story. But here’s an idea for making a fancy-schmancy bow with any left-over ribbon scraps! You’ll WOW your friends with your bow-making abilities (or lack of). ;) I created this same bow for the feauture in Designs in Machine Embroidery Magazine!

I love it! I am all thumbs when it comes to making bows and I have developed tremors in my hands for some reason. I will have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
Loved it! I have lots of ribbon scraps that I use to give to my preschoolers to use, I think now i’m going to keep them for bows!! Thanks for reminding us that scraps matter!
Super idea, a project that my little granddaughters will just love! Can’t wait till they come to visit and they ask, “Grandma, what can we make today”?

Adorable idea, love the bell in the middle of the package in the photo
You need to use scraps of ribbon from other projects. Some should be wire edged so it is moldable. The others can be rick rack or other pretty bits. Love the twisty tie idea, I always use gardening wire for my bows and a twisty tie would be easier
I think they are both incredibly clever. What a great idea!
Wired ribbon! I am so grateful that you are showing ways to use my ribbon, Thank you!

Great idea! I don’t have wire ribbon though. =( Maybe I should stock up in all the great sales going on.
That is brilliant! So much easier than the “easy bow maker” I bought from the craft store. Looks like any wire edged ribbon will do the trick - thanks for that “easy” project!
